Spent a zero day sitting at Icewater Spring Shelter. I needed to see if I could get the swelling down in my ankle and give my knee a chance to rest.
For excitement everyone at the shelter watched a guy climb down the shelter’s fireplace chimney. I guess he thought he was Santa Claus although he was about 8 months early. Little did he know that someone had built a fire in the fireplace a couple of days ago and the fireplace still had hot embers in it. Boy did he get a surprise. The first picture below is him going down the chimney with his personal biographer snapping pictures. The second picture is after he exited the fireplace – very dirty and with extremely hot feet. By the way, it was quite chilly when he did this. No, I have no idea why he did it.
