Mile 1,308.2
Elevation 1,240 feet
Miles Hiked 13.5
Everyone at the hostel was up at 6:00, and that included me. I ate breakfast and hung around until 9:00 AM. The first part of the hike was through the town where I spent the night, Delaware Water Gap. Soon after leaving town, I walked across a long bridge where the transition to New Jersey happened. After crossing into New Jersey, it was up into the mountains again.
The day included a lot of rocks as in “am I still in Pennsylvania?” At least the weather was nice. Nothing consequential happened, and I arrived at a camp-site at 7:00 PM.
My pace is way too slow. The rocks are difficult to walk on, and I don’t have my hiker legs yet. Hopefully things will pickup as I go down the trail.
