Started about 7:30 and the hike took me up but not too bad. Actually most of the morning was a nice flat walk. I even had time to shoot a short video.
This trail is nothing like the Appalachian Trail. The AT is very social because of the many towns on the trail and the presence of trail shelters, which tend to attract hikers with certain water, most times campsites and of course the shelter if you choose to sleep in one.
I decided to stop short of my original goal and pitched my tent in a great area near a stream. It was perfect! No other campers made things quiet. I got a good night’s sleep.
