So far the Trail has been easy when compared to the Appalachian Trail. Even so, there was a big ascent to the campsite. On the way, I linked up with hiker Super Mike (trail name). He was a slow hiker like me so we shared the trail and conversation until we met up with his son. I then went on alone.
I got into camp at 6:15 PM. There were quite a few other campers. I setup on what I thought was flat ground, but that night I kept sliding off my sleeping pad. I’ll have to do better choosing a campsite next time.
I can see now that the land is sloped, but when i pitched the tent, it looked flat.
