Today, I sat around with a group of hikers trying to figure out our next move. The trail, while open, is smokey going south from Rainy Pass. While the others kicked it around, I walked to the Goats Beard outfitters to grab a resupply box. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with the food since I got off the trail early and still have food in my backpack. I’ll probably bounce the box down the trail.
Back at Lion’s Den the decision was made to go to Stevens Pass tomorrow. Meander will take us. So the rest of the day is just sitting around and chilling. A run to the post office to forward my supply box and grocery store were the only diversions the rest of the day.
Tomorrow a three to four hour ride to Stevens Pass with four other hikers.
