The Inn At Long Trail was nice, but the rain had stopped, so it was time to get back on the trail. I left at about 8:30 AM.
The trail had a couple of 1,000 foot plus climbs making the day a tough go. Some of the other hikers had indicated an interest in going to the Lookout Shelter. This shelter is at a high altitude and has a ladder to the roof where you can sit and view the surrounding area.
As I hiked, I passed Jelly and Riz and they were planning on stopping at the Lookout, so I decided to head there as well.
I arrived after 7:00 PM. The cabin is completely enclosed with opening windows, which was really nice. Jelly and Riz arrived shortly thereafter. We went up to the roof until sunset and enjoyed the scenery.
