In the morning, the caretaker at the Upper Goose Pond Cabin made pancakes for everyone. I hung around until 9:00 AM and then left.
The terrain was not too difficult, so I made good time and arrived at the shelter at 2:15 PM. I was thinking about leaving and going to camp on the “Cookie Lady’s” property. However a phone call to her to see if we could camp there revealed that she wanted me to cut her lawn. With that I decided to stay at this shelter. Miss B and a couple of others did move on.
Quite a few hikers did show up at this shelter and we had a lively discussion during dinner. Tomorrow it’s into Dalton, MA.
