AZT Map Miles 713.4
Miles Hiked 703.1
Elevation 5,646 feet
Miles Hiked Today 17.2
This morning as I was breaking camp, a truck pulled up. Turns out it was the trail angel, Cooper the dog, who provides the great trail magic mentioned in yesterday’s post. Cooper’s human refused to take credit and said all credit belongs to Cooper. So Cooper – thanks!
Today had no big climbs and a lot of the trail was level. I welcomed the change. I made good time. Another hiker, Squatter, joined me for a bit and we had a nice conversation. Her hiking partner, Lucky, caught up to us at Kentucky Camp and we had lunch together.
The rest of the day was focused on hitting 15 miles, which I did and then some. And! I went past the 700 mile mark. I can see the finish line.

I’m getting caught up on your blog. We also met Lucky and Squatter on passage 16. They are fast to have caught up to you (oh, to be that young)’.
Yes, they’re fast. We ate lunch together at Kentucky Camp and while there they said they would finish November 28.
