Well, last night was extremely frustrating.  The zipper on my sleeping bag will no longer zip up the bag.  The zipper teeth won’t close.  I was up until midnight trying to get it to work.  In the morning, I texted my sister to do some research on a new sleeping bag.  The cell service out here is so bad, sending texts is all the service can handle.  Also, last night Steve, Mike and I discussed getting pizza about 18 miles ahead, but no decision was made.

The day only had one thousand foot climb, which began midmorning. Climbs are never easy, but this one starting later in the morning allowed me to warn up first.  Other than that. The trail was easy for once, and we were able to pick up some easy miles.

Around 1 PM, Mike and Steve decided to go for the pizza and hike the 18 Miles to Mill Creek Fire Station where the pizza restaurant would deliver the pizza.  I made it there about 4:30 PM.  Much to our surprise there was a free dinner trail magic going on.  I helped myself to some fruit, but saved myself for a really good and expensive pizza.  Because of the cost to deliver, we paid $85 for the pizza and 4 beers.

After eating, we went down to the road and setup camp.  We’re not supposed to be here, so I hope no cop comes by and chases us off.
