Bridge Creek Campground was left behind at 7:15 on my way to Stehekin, WA. This will be my first town stop this hike. It’s 10 miles from the trailhead to town.

I still haven’t recovered from yesterday’s grueling elevation gain hike. Today the plan is to go 18 miles, which is a long day to Bridge Creek campground.
On tap for today is a big climb. We are going up to 6,500 feet and then a little later, over 7,000 feet. This is going to be hard day
I returned to the Pacific Crest Trail and began hiking South from Harts Pass to Brush Creek. I was hiking on the PCT last year but fires ran me off the trail
I texted Angela and told her I would be at the trailhead between 4:30 and 5:00 PM. It looks like this will be the last day of my Ice Age Trail hike.
Day two on the Ice Age Trail and the first full day of hiking. Today, I’m riding the roller coaster up and down on the trail.
Different Trail – Same Hike: It was good to be hiking in a forest again. There are vastly fewer blow downs to climb over and the forest is dense.
Trout Lake Evacuated: A level 2 fire alert near Trout Lake just off the Pacific Crest Trail resulted in all hikers camped behind the General Store to be evacuated.
Again! Fire evacuation from the PCT just short of the trailhead for Trout Lake.
An Easier Day on the Trail after the Goat Rocks ordeal, which started with a 1,000 foot ascent.
