The Ouachita Trail was what I expected and not expected. While the rocks were mentioned when I researched the trail, the plethora of them was an eye-opener.

The Ouachita Trail is a 223-mile National Recreation Trail that runs through the Ouachita Mountains of Oklahoma and Arkansas.

I’ve written briefly about the trail conditions. The PCTA goes into much more detail in the below text from their “Trail Closures” app.

The Arizona Trail is an 800-mile national scenic trail. It stretches from the Mexico to Utah. The trail passes through deserts, forests, and the Grand Canyon.

The Colorado Trail is a 486-mile trail, running from Waterton Canyon near Denver to Durango. It’s known for its scenery and challenging high-altitude terrain.

If everything goes according to plan, I’ll start hiking the Colorado Trail by the end of June 2020. Watch for future blog posts as I hike the trail.
