Tony's Hiking Adventure

A Push to the Finish Line

Miles Hiked 425.8
Elevation 10,853 feet
Miles Hiked Today 14.7

I’m stoked for the last push to finish the Colorado Trail. There is only 75 miles left. A little after 9 AM this morning, Mike who works at the Avon gave me a ride to the trailhead, and by 9:30 I began hiking. The trail goes up more than 1,600 feet over 11 miles. As rested as I am, I started well.

Nothing unusual occurred and by 5 PM I reached a creek and campsite. Two other hikers came by about 30 minutes later and pitched their tents. That’s about all the campsite will hold, so there’s a full house tonight.
