I was up early for breakfast. I’m leaving the Sure Stay Best Western today and heading home to take care of a personal emergency. The first leg of the trip starts a couple of blocks away at the Kern Transit bus stop. The fare for me is $1.50 (senior discount), which is a great deal. The bus is scheduled to arrive and depart at 9:20 AM, but of course, it is late. Nevertheless, we make it to Lancaster in plenty of time to catch the train into Los Angeles. The train is Metrolink and it’s on time. Metrolink drops me at Union Station in Los Angeles, and from there, it’s a couple of minute’s walk to Union Station FlyAway. That is the bus, which will take me the rest of the way into LAX (Los Angeles International Airport). I’m on a red-eye flight to Sarasota International Airport, so I have plenty of time to do nothing.
The plane home was uneventful, and I arrive in Sarasota in the early morning, next day. A Lyft ride home and that’s the end of the PCT for now.
