As nice as the lake was, I was glad to say goodbye Timothy Lake. My experience with the women who harassed me into leaving a campsite is going to stay with me for a long time. I just hope someday karma comes home to roost.

In my haste to leave this morning, I was up at 5:00 a.m. and on the trail by 6:00 a.m. . After a couple of miles I came upon a trail angel doing trail magic. He whipped up a couple of eggs and even had some herbal tea. A perfect breakfast in the middle of the wilderness.

Not much else was going on during the day. I did not want to do another 20-mile day, but the time to do it was there if I chose to do it.  As it happened, it started to rain in the late afternoon, which made the decision to stop early a lot easier. Along with the rain was a very impressive thunder and lightning storm. That kind of storm is what starts forest fires. I hope there’s no problem tomorrow when I start hiking again.

I found a nice tent site on an old unused forest road.  At least I hope it’s unused.  If it isn’t, I’ll probably find out tonight. Another hiker, John, who I met at the trail magic, joined me at the campsite.  No room for more tents, so this is it for tonight.
