It wasn’t hard waking up at the KOA Campground this morning.  If the traffic wasn’t loud enough, then the train and its infernal whistle were.  I finally gave up and started packing up just after 5 AM.  I was on the move by 6:40.

Aqua Dulce and Serenity Oasis are the targets for today. I should be there around noon.  I’m going to see which is better – the KOA Campground or Farmer John’s Serenity Oasis.

The trail was obvious.  Up and down.  It led under a very busy highway 14 and eventually into the town of Aqua Dulce.  I went over to Serenity Oasis about 1 PM.  I was the only one there except for a vagrant masquerading as a hiker.  I plugged in my phone and tended to some personal matters and then updated my journal.

Other hikers started arriving before 3 PM.  As a matter of fact, quite a few hikers came into the area.  At 7 PM, I counted 17 tents and I probably missed one or two.

Serenity Oasis is just a big lot with plenty of camping room.  They have a toilet, outdoor shower and covered areas for relaxing.  It’s a toss up between  between Serenity Oasis and the KOA.
