I started out just before 7 AM after filling up with water. I have about 3 1/2 liters of water and hope that will do it. There are no water sources at all in the almost 15 miles scheduled to be hiked today.
Needless to say, it was a rough day. The trail went up the entire way from 3,566 feet where I camped last night to today’s elevation. There were a few flat runs of trail but very few. It was an exhausting day in the end.
I camped just short of access roads to Wrightwood, so tomorrow I’ll be heading in to town. And I found someone with whom to split the cabin. Mike walked into camp a little after I did and started asking about accommodations in Wrightwood. I offered the top bunk in the cabin and he took it. Tomorrow we’ll head for highway 2 to be picked up and taken to the cabin.
