I didn’t get off until 7 AM. I had wanted to start right at first light, so I could hit my mileage target. Anyway, on I go into the Superstition Wilderness.

I believed there would be trouble getting to the trail from Globe this morning, so I tried to arrange a shuttle. No luck. The hotel owner offered a short ride.

The post office was in the downtown area of Globe, so I walked around to check things out. Most stores are only open a few days a week.

I’m going into the town of Globe, Arizona to pickup provisions and take a day off. I didn’t want to get in too early and not be able to check in at the hotel.

Gladly, I finished hiking Four Peaks Wilderness. I find no joy walking on the outer edge of a mountain on a narrow path with loose stones and rocks.

The trail turned onto a more primitive path. Then I entered Four Peaks Wilderness. The trail narrowed until it was one to one and one-half feet wide.

The doctor said I was good to continue hiking, so it’s back to the trail. I left Banner Urgent Care and immediately began hitchhiking to the trail.
A cow wandered into my camp and was mooing all night. I got up late thanks to the cow. The plan was to hitchhike into Payson and have my leg examined.

I started hiking with either Payson or Globe as my destination. Ultimately, it was decided to go to Payson for medical attention due to its closer proximity.
