Frost on My Tent!
That’s frost on my tent. I set up camp in an open field last night and boy, did it get cold. My new sleeping bag kept me warm, though.

Camp by a Creek by Myself
I stopped short of my original distance goal and decided to camp by a creek. I pitched my tent in a great area near the creek. It was perfect!

Craig Creek Campsite

Hiking Through a Burned Out Forest.
There wasn’t much to see today. Most of today’s hike was through open trail and burned out forest. One thing is for sure. This isn’t the Appalachian Trail.

Day 1 – The Colorado Trail
This morning at 8 AM I started the 488 mile Colorado Trail. The first 6 miles of the trail were through Waterton Canyon. It was nothing more than a road walk.
