Hiking – Just Another Day
Later in the afternoon the trail leveled off, and I was able to make some good time. I found a good campsite about 5 PM and pitched my tent. Just another day.

Aqua Dulce and Serenity Oasis are the today’s targets. I’m going to see which is better – the KOA Campground or Farmer John’s Serenity Oasis.

The target today is the KOA Campground in Acton. I’m not too keen on going because of the bad hiker reviews and lack of dependable Internet service.

we went down to the road and setup camp. We’re not supposed to be here, so I hope no cop comes by. It was a long day, but the trail magic and pizza helped.

We were on our way to Camp Glenwood for the night. Just before the camp, we crossed the 400 PCT miles mark. Only 300 more miles to Kennedy Meadows.

Mount Baden-Powell is 9,400 feet in elevation. There is snow, so spikes, navigation skills and mountaineering skills are necessary.

Steve Kevin joined us on a partial climb up Mount Baden-Powell. It will be three of us making the summit tomorrow. At 3 PM, we reached our campsite.

Today is a zero day at the Acorn Cabins. No hiking today. Mike, my roommate, left early to go to town while I hung around the cabin.

Mike and I were on our way by 6:30. I met Mike yesterday. He is going to share the Acorn Cabin with me in Wrightwood. The target today is highway 2.
